Palace of Harmony

Touching the Clouds

Palace of Harmony

The area called Palace of Harmony consists of a few temples and is located on the highest peak in Wudang Shan. At the pinnacle is Golden Peak.

On our way to Palace of Harmony On our way to Palace of Harmony

For our third and last day in Wudang Shan our legs were feeling rested and decided to hit the highest peak and check out a couple temples.

We come across what looked like unkept stairs that stated it was a shortcut to Palace of Harmony. We opted to go for it! Why not, it’s our last day in Wudang Shan.

Once we climb up and wind thru a bit of brush we come to this amazing view!

They have a picture of Palace of Harmony in the winter that just looks amazing. Maybe we need to come back in the winter although i cannot think of how difficult all these stairs would be with snow and ice.

Love locks on the way down Love locks on the way down

As this area is the highest peak in Wudang Shan you see hundreds of love locks placed on the stairways. The higher up the more likely your love will last.

The test of time The test of time

After three days and thousands of stairs climbed it is time to leave. I wish we had another 3-4 days to spend here. I guess i just need to not cross Wudang Shan off my list and visit another time. Who knows maybe the winter time.
